The Jewish Connection – As Purim approaches, SonShine (a non-profit organization), in partnership with Arkia, El-Al, and Tamam, sends a hug to the Jews of the world. In an exciting initiative, volunteers show up at Ben Gurion Airport and hand out Mishlochei Manot (shalach manos) to outbound travelers, to pass them on to precious Jews in other countries. They will spread light and joy around the world. For the coming Purim, around 7,500 Mishlochei Manot will be sent. Every year the Mishlochei Manot get to over 80 countries around the world. Jews in international communities are moved by receiving a reminder of the importance of the connection between Israel and the Diaspora.
